Team Brassbanned is jetting off to Blenheim, New Zealand, to live stream the NZ Brass Band Championships for 2018!

It’s been 15 months since the mighty Brisbane Excelsior took out the 2017 Championships, as part of a tit-for-tat exchange with the brilliant Wellington Brass (who are currently reigning Australian champions).

The 2017 contest saw some brilliant performances by Brisbane Excelsior, Wellington and Woolston – and some incredibly exciting playing from the up and coming Eastern Bay of Plenty Brass. EBOP were one of the most exciting bands of 2017, a young band filled with talent that placed as the highest scoring NZ band in the test work.

We are really excited to hear the A Grade bands perform Peter Graham’s ‘The 39th Parallel’, Todd Rohan Smith’s ‘Ouroboros’ in B Grade and Jack Bewley’s ‘A Theme Fading’ in C Grade.

Once again, Brassbanned will be live streaming for free in High Definition – and asking Loyal Viewers to ‘pay what you think it’s worth’. Obviously, experiencing the magical musical moments will be priceless – but we do thank you in advance for your support! Click here to support Brassbanned.
