Loyal Viewers, Brassbanned is back in November bringing you live streaming of live bands from all over Australia.

With various restrictions lifting (hopefully for good) across Australia, we are beyond excited to get back to live streaming in person events, and also bringing you some as-live and pre-recorded performances.

Exact timings to follow, but here are some dates for your diary:

November 13 LIVE-RECORDED: Australian National Online Festival of Bands (more information on participating can be found here), as well as some extra special pre-recorded masterclass and musician interviews from world famous brass players.

The Australian National Online Festival of bands is a terrific initative that invites bands from all over the world to record themselves performing, and we stream out these performances ‘as if live’ back to back.

We will be live from 3pm (Melbourne time) this Saturday with the event.

November 20 – PRE-RECORDED: Mount Gambier Blue Lake Band Festival Highlights

2021 marks the second year in a row that the Mount Gambier Blue Lake Band Festival has been unable to go ahead. Instead, we will bring you highlight performances of earlier festivals (and look forward to visiting Mount Gambier again in 2022).

November 27 – LIVE-REMOTE: QLD State Band Championships (re-scheduled!)

Thanks to the tireless work of the Queensland Band Association, the 2021 State Band Championships have been salvaged and rescheduled. Team Brassbanned will be working with one of our remote production teams to bring you coverage of the day’s live performances.

November 28 – LIVE-LIVE: Victoria Brass concerts from Bendigo and Brighton

The one that Tim’s been waiting for… this event will be the first time since March 2020 that the OG Brassbanned Stream Team have been able to be on-site, in person, producing a live stream from the same place that the music is actually happening. This will be the best thing ever. Concert will feature a wonderful band of music-deprived Victorian brass and percussion players, performing some wonderful music.

December 18 – LIVE-LIVE: Footscray Yarraville City Band presents Carols by Candlelight (restrictions permitting)

Forget carols in the domain, forget carols by candlelight. With apologies to Seven and Nine, Brassbanned is thrilled to be the exclusive broadcaster of the world famous Footscray-Yarraville City Band’s annual Carols by Candlelight (pending any late restrcition changes).

We will also see if there are some other carols we can stream in December…

Looking forward to streaming you soon!
